We only use fresh Spreewald gherkins , neutral alcohol from rye and regional water for our aromatic gherkin spirit . The cucumbers are harvested, peeled, finely sliced and then macerated in rye alcohol. This macerate is then gently redistilled ("spirited") in our copper still.
